I posted my previous coming attractions post a day too soon...here's one of my most anticipated movies of the year...
The Road
I can't wait...Viggo should've won an Oscar for the underwatched Eastern Promises...this was quite a book...looks like it could be quite a movie...
I don't know how I feel about it. They're trying to flesh out the whole wife situation which doesn't please me. Also, They're going to try and explain what happened?
ReplyDeleteI still have really high hopes, but the trailer towards the end makes it seem like an action movie.
Also, in regards to the "Viggo should've won an oscar" he was up against Daniel Day Lewis. There's no chance. Just like this year.
I agree with you on the wife situation...at first I thought maybe they were flashbacks, but based on what Theron says, it seems like they aren't.
ReplyDeleteI'm not really reading reviews of it (although apparently, there was a frickin' rave of it just released by Esquire(?maybe?) ).
What frightens me about it is that they're releasing it via Dimension Films which is the Weinstein Bros. horror/sci-fi division. I mean, it is an horrific story, but not really "horror" per se.
I still really want to see it. And I think I would've voted Viggo over Daniel Day...maybe...I don't know...they were both stellar.
Yeah. My site had a link to it, and one of the comments said Esquire's tagline for the movie. If you wanna know what that is, i'll tell you.
ReplyDeleteIt is a true sci-fi story, "what would happen after nuclear apocalypse," speaking of which, the trailer made it look like it could be turned into a global warming movie. That's at least the feeling I got.
Just wanted to point out a HUGE mistake to the english major...
ReplyDeleteIt's "Promises" Jeff.
Apparently the news footage isn't actually in the movie. That makes it better.
